Dr. Trevis Killen, Executive Director of Student Services
Jones County Schools Student Services Department provides specialized instructional supports to meet the development of the whole child socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and academically. Instructional services and programs to support our students include school counseling services, health services, school social work services, school-based mental health, behavioral health services, homebound instruction, and McKinney-Vento Homeless Education. This department is also responsible for tribunal hearings, attendance protocol, crisis intervention team, and referrals to community agencies.
We are committed to fostering an environment to nurture the whole child. As part of our whole child approach, we advocate and collaborate with parents, guardians, and community agencies to remove barriers to learning, support mental wellness, and college and career readiness.
