  • Reflex Math - click for parent information

    * Reflex is a game-based system that helps students with math fact fluency. 

    * Reflex is a web based program which means students can practice anywhere they have internet.  

  • GRASP (Georgia RESA Assessment of Student Progress)* Used to assess students' growth in reading fluency

    * Students assessed at Gray Elementary 3 times each year

    * Concept of Fluency: Every reader is expected to read not only all the words on a pagecorrectly, but also to read those words with voice and intonation (personality) and at acomfortable, flowing pace. 

     

    **By the end of the 1st grade, each child should be reading between 55-62 words per minute.**

     **By the end of the 2nd grade, each child should be reading between 97-110 words per minute.**

     **By the end of the 3rd grade, each child should be reading between 122-134 words per minute.**

     *By the end of the 4th grade, each child should be reading between 127-138 words per minute.**

    **By the end of the 5th grade, each child should be reading between 147-154 words per minute.**
